There are many types of marketing that we can find nowadays, but now you are going to know some of the most important ones.

Strategic marketing

This type of marketing is characterised by its focus on long-term actions, i.e. forward-looking actions. One of the objectives of strategic marketing is to define actions in order to implement strategies that maximise profits, minimise the use of resources and, in short, turn your company into a highly profitable business.

Operational marketing

In contrast to strategic marketing, we have operational marketing, that is, if strategic marketing had a more long-term focus and future-oriented actions, operational marketing defines objectives and actions in the short/medium term.

Marketing mix

This type of marketing is one of the best known. It is known as the marketing of the 4Ps (product, price, promotion and distribution/place), or in other words, it deals with the four variables that are strictly necessary to be defined by the company:

-Product: object that consumers demand from companies in order to satisfy their needs.

-Price: The amount of money that the user would be willing to spend for our product.

-Promotion: Actions that are developed to give visibility to our products or services.

-Distribution (place) Distribution is the process a product goes through to reach the end customer, i.e. it is defined as the whole process through which the product passes, from the moment the raw materials enter our company, until the final product leaves the company's doors and enters our customer's doors.

Relationship marketing

Relationship marketing is a type of marketing that tries to identify the most profitable customers and gives them a closer relationship.

Offline or traditional marketing

It involves all actions outside the internet, whether it is an advertisement in a newspaper or the distribution of merchandising. Although marketing is migrating to digital, the trend is for actions to become more and more integrated, with no barrier between online and offline. When it comes to shopping, for example, the integration between online and physical shops offers a better customer experience.

Digital marketing

This type of marketing is focused on the online world, the world where users make use of the Internet. Among the tools of digital marketing, we find SEO techniques, for example, through which companies try to gain web positioning in search engines.

Influencer marketing

Influencer marketing consists of defining a promotion and brand building strategy through collaboration with influencers.

Outbound Marketing

This type of marketing refers to the active approach of companies to win new customers. Also known as intrusive marketing, it is currently being questioned, as it often has the opposite effect to the desired one, interrupting consumers and causing a negative perception of the brand.

Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing is used as a strategy to attract consumers, converting them into leads and then into real customers.

Content Marketing

This marketing arises as a result of the growth of Digital Marketing and Inbound Marketing, mentioned above. It consists of offering relevant and valuable content to the consumer. Its objective is to hook them and make them buy, also generating a positive perception of the brand. Some of the main formats are blogs or webinars.

Social Media Marketing

Social networks are here to stay, so if consumers use them, so do companies. This type of marketing is mainly used to inform, observe and interact with the target audience. It also allows the creation of advertisements, which makes the company-consumer relationship much closer.

Performance marketing

Numbers are the greatest ally of performance marketing. In this aspect of marketing, the planning, execution and evaluation of a campaign are based on data, with the aim of providing a basis for decisions, optimising investments and generating better results. Performance marketing is essentially concerned with ROI. In the end, it is the financial results that demonstrate the real impact of the strategies on the business.

Search Engine Marketing (Search Engine Marketing or SEM)

These are marketing strategies within search engines such as Google and Bing, which include the disclosure of content focused on keywords with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). The brand will appear in front of the user whenever they are actively searching for any content offered.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is an essential tool in digital marketing, sending content and offers by email to approach the consumer, direct them to the site and lead them through their buying journey.
